Lorna Mortensen graduated from California Baptist University with her bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics and minor in Physics in 1995. She continued her education while working as a High School math teacher graduating with an MA in Education in 1998. After teaching and coaching volleyball at the high school level Lorna started working full time as the CFO for Kamali’i Foster Family Agency, Inc. in Lake Elsinore, CA starting in 2004. Since that time Lorna has obtained an MBA in Finance from Louisiana State University.
Eric Mortensen has been actively working in social work, child welfare, and human services for over 25 years. A graduate of California Baptist University Eric received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in 1998. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Kamali’i Foster Family Agency, Inc. in Lake Elsinore, CA.
Briana Overton serves on the board for A coming of age foster family agency as parliamentarian. Before becoming a board member, she interned at ACOA during grad school. Briana has been in the social service field for the past 7 years working with diverse populations differing in age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicities, and socio-economic statuses.
Briana has worked for San Bernardino County, mental health hospitals, and currently works as an associate therapist for a local nonprofit. She has her Master’s in Social work and is currently on the path of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social worker. She has an interest in mental health, meeting the need of disadvantaged populations, and finding funding for organizations in need. In addition to serving on the board Briana serves as a leader in other community projects, she enjoys traveling around the world, and loves to connect with family and friends.
